Hmm, I have not heard that one. I don't think they go for milk either. I once tried to feed my ball pythons a lactating female rat, and they wouldn't take it. Realizing this may be why they would not take it, I returned it in exchange for a male. None-the-less, the male was gone within 1/2 hour.
I have heard of some ppl who prepare a force feed mixture for snakes use milk or something IN SMALL DOSES and mixed in with a few other ingredients. Im sure is chauk-full of good vitamins and minerals, but it does contain lactose which reptiles are very unfamiliar with.
It would be funny if snakes liked milk because there sure would be some really interesting "GOT MILK" commercials!! hehehehe

:Dogs and cats are mammals!!Cannot be compared to reptiles, although i heard snakes love milk(by the way is that true??).When i bought my first iguana the owner of the petshop said to me to be extra-careful with 2 things:Milk and height.Both are extremely dangerous for igs!!

:About juices, dont they have lots of preservatives, aditives, etc...?

::Orange juice may be too acidic for iguanas. Even some people cannot tollerate the acidity of orange juice.

::I suggest you try in small amounts. If he does not vomit, it's a good sign. However, to keep things safe and healthy in his gut, apple juice is a safer alternative. Pineapple is also a bit acidic. But if u find orange/banana/kiwi or other combos, they are safer (and tastier!).

::It is generally thought that reptiles are not lactose tolerant. So giving milk to the tegu may not be a good idea, even though they are omnivorous. However, the same goes for cats and dogs, and many people offer it without any side effects. As long as the animal is healthy and does not vomit, it's ok.

::However, fruits are supposed to be 10% or so of the diet. So make them a treat only!

::Regards,
