Yes, he IS strong as a bear and a bear that loves his cage and doesnt want to go out!!!He always does the death grip onto his shelf, or onto the walls, or onto everything he can grasb!!!Im lucky he doesnt bite me or tail whip me!

my boy is 4 yrs old 5' STL & about 10LBS, what I do is open the door to his enclosure prop his ladder up outside it & stand there (sometimes with food). most of the time he comes right out.
:if he DOESN'T & I reach in to pick him up & he's in the mood to resist , he'll do the death grip onto his shelf...it would take a crane to budge him...what I do is I have pizza oven mitts on my arms & put my arm up beside his body resting it on the shelf next to him, then slowly pry his legs off the shelf onto the my arm until he grips the mitt. then lift him out. some times it takes a few tries - but once he's out he's fine.
:you should never pull an attached iguana because you can rip his claws out or break toes.
:from the looks of that boy I'll bet he's strong as a bear!!! I can tell you mine is! how much does Godzilla weigh?
