One iglet, the dominant one, is basking under the light. The other one, the submissive one, wants to bask too.But the dominant one is headbobing to him with a very ugly expression in his face and the submissive one gives up.He will not bask at all because he is afraid. The same thing will happen when the submissive one wants to eat.Even if you put 2 food bowls inside the cage the submissive one will be so stressed he will not want to eat.Or he will not eat enough to flourish.

, it's actualy not brand new - this cage has been sitting in my back yard for the past year. I'm refinishing and fixing it up for the iglets. Here's a pic of the work in progress. I've sanded and sealed all the surfaces, and finished wiring the electrical fixtures. Now all that's left is to enclose the heat lamp in a safety cage, make a cover for the back of the newly-wired external switch, and make nice circular vent covers. I'm still debating whether or not I want to replace the entire back of the thing - it's ugly and I really don't like that rectangular vent hole! If I redo it, I'll probably make it into a fake rock wall with ledges and some small vents at the top.
:Some more branches, some fake greenery, and the cage will be ready to use. The babies got to check out their new home for the first time today while I took some photos. Cage dimensions are 3'L x 1.5'W x 2'H. It has sliding glass panes in the front, which I removed for easy access. It should last the babies for a few months. What do you think of it?
