The diet is pretty bad. The iguana needs to be eating stuff like collard greens, mustard greens, etc.
What type of lighting is set up for this iguana and what is the temp in the cage? The iguana needs UVB lighting and that should help with MBD. The temp needs to be high and the iguana needs humidity.
Also, has your friend taken this iguana to the vet? Mouth rot can lead into some serious problems and death. Not to mention the MBD.
