Iguana Owner......I like that screen name! You may be a little reluctant to seek medical care for your ig...but...the fact is MOST IGUANAS NEVER SEE THEIR FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!
Blood work is a GREAT thing to do for your juvie at this stage. As it is so young...you'll be glad you took your ig to the vet to save his broken toes! He'll need em for the long time you'll keep him! (iguanas lifespan in captivity 13 years & going strong!) You want to keep him that long right? Thought so! So don't hestitate & get him to a vet that specializes in exotics...let em know your financial situation..if $is tite...they'll help ya out...Call around and ask for vets with experience in reptiles with fractures. You'll get a feel for em. I get charged a 20.00 office visit...which is waived if the reptile needs subsequent followup. More than likely they'll bandage him up right then & there IF the problem is not systemic in origin. Check your husbandry..make sure your branches have notches or grooves in em so ig can hang get a good foothold for climbing.
Happy Herping
