Saci....would be important to know how old your iguana is. What's her name anyway? :o)
Do you have other reptiles? First you need to make sure...your Iguana is in kind of a quarantine...away from all your other reptiles if so. mites are active at night and travel like wildfire! Please check other animals for mites I use Nix on my reptiles (igs and snakes) its sold at drugstores as medicated shampoo for childern/people with head lice. . I put a diluted amt(full strength can kill reptiles!) . in a spray bottle and spray ig down in the tub (avoiding face) ...Q-tip dipped solution around her face.... Bleach diluted for disinfecting EVERYTHING the ig comes in contact with...water bowls. cage,basking branches , etc...Its a pain in the behind..I know but mites can mean big trouble for ig if left untreated. Can go see a vet...they'll help ya with systemic and topical treatments for control of those bad boys too!. Yes try Melissa Kaplans site lots of info:
