TREX loved to sleep inside an old shoe box i placed awhile ago inside my igs cage for Shena to lay her eggs(After i discovered Shena was a male and would never lay eggs!!lol)Every single night at 600pm he went to sleep inside the shoe box.He did that for weeks!!But it was becoming more and more difficult to him, a 4, 5 F iguana to go inside that small box so i changed the shoe box for a huge dogs cage with enough room for him to sleep inside. The first night after i changed the boxes TREX went to sleep in his shoe box as usual. When he saw the new big cage he stopped in front of it, and pooped all over it and never slept inside!!

:My iguana started sleeping under the leaves I give him at night. Then last night I gave him some artificial leaves to sleep under.
:He started licking the leaves and after a while left his basking spot. So I figured he did not like it. I removed it again. Then I worked on the pc for a while.
:When I went to check up on him, he is still not at his sleeping spot an hour after the lights went out. I then went outside got him some leaves, after
:15 minutes he was sleeping. This just shows that they do not always appreciate the changes we think is better for them.
:I felt quite bad for disturbing him, but in a way was also very cute. Have learnt something new in iguana behaviour though.
:just wanted to share this, anyone else had the same?
