What a skinny ig!!! I think its wonderful that you have taken him in. He could have a spot of retained shed, my ig gets patches when he's shedding that look like that, or it could be an injury point or possibly a burn. One way or another, the poor little guy needs a visit to the vet for a health check-up. Good luck, can't wait to see photos of him fattened up!

:I just got an Iguana. It belonged to my friends KID but it was obviously too much to handle for the 10 year old boy. Any way, I am currently building an enclosure for it according to measurements i got from http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/index.html
:Its currently in a 30 gallon tank but its not bad because the iggy is still only about 2 feet long from nose to the tip of his tail.
:Now the question is: I dont know much about these animals but I noticed that is had some white stuff on his back and i thought that it was probably just some crap, but i washed him up it didnt go away. He was a bit brown when I got him but now he's trurning a bit green and even has some bluish color by his mouth.
:I dont know if this white coloring on his back is bad at all or just normal. Please look at the picture and let me know if any of you have seen this and what i can do to correct the problem. Thanks in advance!
