Well, I work overnights, so my Iguana's schedual (and 2 chameleons) is built around mine. They live in the basement, so even though they're asleep during the day, they don't know it because it is completely dark. Right now their lights are on from 6:30pm to 7:30am. I will be changing that as soon as it gets warm enough for them to go outside for some natural sunlight, but I'm not sure EXACTLY how I will change it. I'll probably wake them up a couple hours earlier to take them outside for a few hours before the sun goes down.
They haven't shown any adverse side-affects from sleeping during the day, and seemed to adapt to it much better than I have! lol. Look at it this way, when we export these creatures, their day/night cycle is REALLY screwed up! Not only do they spend much more than 12 hours in a dark crate, but their new home probably becomes daylight 12 hours earlier/later.
