i really don't think they're broken if there's no swelling and/or discomfort ...
as far as the cost of a vet visit .... ask them when you begin your search for a herp vet ... i think i pay about $30 .... but then, most of iZ's visits haven't been for *just a check-up*,so i'm guessing here ....
