:Also... some people choose to grab and restrain their iguanas, I choose not to. I'm sure that method works for other people, but I think it just stresses the animal out more. Think about it... would you trust someone who grabbed you and held you against your will? Also, when he/she bites or whips you, just act like it doesn't bother you. If you make a big reaction and leave it alone, it will realize what it is doing will get you away. On the other hand, if it has no effect, he/she will realize it doesnt work eventually.

:Also, iguanas are creatures of habit. If you can try to handle him/her at about the same times everyday, the iguana will learn what to expect and won't be quite so freaked out by it.

:Once again, I'm not an expert, and what works for me might not work for you... good luck!
