: Dear iggy buddies:
: We just got home about 30 minutes ago and she is resting in her cage. I can honestly say she looks great. They took such good care of her. She has 13 (as best I can count without turning her over) staples in her tummy. Has to be on antibiotics for 21 days and can't get incision wet but isn't limited about climbing. She was so excited to see me! How could I tell, you ask? Well, she looked over at me when they brought her in--LOL! Oh, the crumbs we settle for!
: They brought in a zip-lock bag and I thought they were cherry tomatoes they were sending home for her to snack on--wrong! They were her eggs which really grossed me out. I could hardly believe how many and how big. He showed me the little bits of tissue that was mixed in among the eggs--the ovaries. One side was nice and pink, the other tissue was dark red. He explained that this ovary was in trouble (which no one knew about before he operated). Dr. Stahl said that this ovary would have burst or broken down very shortly and may have killed her. Said it was a blessing that we operated when we did. (I submitted his name to be included in the Herp Vet Connection--see VA). I sure dodged that bullet. Now that it is all over, I am so glad I made the decision to have her spayed. It was well worth it for her health and my nerves!
: It is great to have her home. Thank you one and all for all the cards, e-mail, postings, good wishes, prayers, and kindnesses. You are a very special group of people and I feel honored to be among you.
: Hugs and little licks,
: Judy and Meggy

Always great to hear good news! good luck and happy herping!
Dan And Sue
