:1)It really all depends what is in my garden and what I can find at the store, but I feed my ig collards, mustard, dandelion, turnips greens, nasturtium leaves and flowers, butternut squash, acorn squash, zucchini, carrots, sweet/bell peppers, green beans, peas, dried figs, banana, pumpkin, raspberries, parsnips, parsley, basil, alfalfa sprouts, apples, pears, squash flowers, strawberries... oh there is more. I'll be adding several different varieties of sqaush this year along with some other new veggies added to my garden. Variety is key!
:2) Spike will be 6 years old this spring/summer. She is just under 5'. but has never laid eggs, this does not mean she could not have resorbed them....but could also be due to the crappy care I gave her before becoming an informed ig owner. This picture was taken this past summer.
:4)The first place I learned the proper way to care for Igs was MK's site. My iguana is still alive thanx to you Melissa! I also learned a lot from Basking Spot and also from The Ultimate Iguana Owners Manual book by James Hatfield. Also a lot of smaller sites, like Iguana Den and a story I read about an Iguana named Wong...
