Not saying this guy is for real but I do know of a lot of apartment owners in a larger city who will bypass a deposit if you will clean up the place. Especially in the worse parts of town. Also as to the getting rid of the animal before someone moved in, my brother-in-law just moved into a place and in the basement is a lizard -- possibly iguana (I haven't seen it) but it comes out everytime the light comes on and then runs and hides if it sees someone. The landlord claimed he thought it had run off. He's tried to catch it even left food out for it. He doesn't know a lot about lizards and he left both meat scraps and vegetables out for it to eat and it ate both. He claims it is very healthy looking, quite large and bright green. He just moved in a week ago. I told him we would come over later this week to see if we could help catch it!! We would love to keep it if it is able to be kept!!

This person just doesn't seem to want to hear how to take care of it just wants to hear someone say he is right even when he's not!

As for pet stores. We went to a petstore that supposedly specializes in reptiles we listened as they told a couple prospective owners to just feed an iguana any table scraps they had. Also they said it could live comfortably in a 10 gallon tank even when full grown. We kindly explained to the people that this was not correct. That if they were really interested there were lots of websites they could visit or books they could read. The owner heard us said we were ruining her business and asked us to leave!! She has since had officials in there three times to check on the treatment of her animals and even had them taken away at one time and placed in other "foster" homes!!

:I thought I smelled something slimy....like troll!

:C'mon his story is too meladramatic and unbelievable. Even if it were true, he supposedly came here for help but is taking none of the advice which should be a clue.

:I don't know many apartments that don't clean out the place before a new tenant comes in...and get rid of any animals that were left behind....please!
