Why are people this stupid???

I went to the Reptile Show Today. There were a few rescue groups there inculding one Ig rescue group. Well, One Lady brought in this 1 1/2 year old Ig. She was carrying it in a 10 gal tank. Not so bad for transport, right? WRONG! Especially when it's 25 degrees f outside! The Poor thing was ice cold to the touch! So Mom took him and put him in her coat to warm him up. Then after about a hour or so, the rescuers had found a home for him. Then as the new people were going to take him, The Lady decided She wanted him back! She started Yelling and making a scene then She stuff that poor cold ig back in the tank and stormed out with him! Why would someone do that? Why would someone take a cold blooded animal on a freezing day when they had no intention on giving it up!?!?! I hope it's ok.....
