Linda,
I personally leave food available 24/7. Damien has been known to go down in the middle of the night for food and then bask. Look into larger bowls. I use dog food bowls for damien. I have two and rotate them so that they can be washed between feedings. I believe they hold 8 cups and she eats at least 5 a day.

:Hi everyone,
:I have another feeding question :)
:Beanie is eating at least 2 2-1/2 cups of food per day. I
:bought a large plastic plate because the paper plates were
:not big enough any longer. The problem is I leave the food
:out in the morning at about 7am. When I get home at 5:30pm
:it is empty and the first thing she does is want to eat.
:I am afraid to feed her this late as I am afraid the food will
:not digest during the night when the temp is cooler. I do
:cave in and just give her a few bites when I get home.
:Is she doing this because she knows I am the person with the
:food or do you think she is really still hungry?
:I do not know, maybe I will have to double plate it in the
:morning but I suspect that the food sitting there during the
:day is not good either.
:Thanks
:Linda
