If there is too much water they will panic because they will think you want to drown them. The level of the water should only reach their elbow if they are standing.I think baths are very important because it keeps your igs clean, avoids infections due to deposit of fecal matter in the vents and limbs for instance, helps the shedding and keeps the igs hydrated. For almost 1 month I didnt have time to give Godzilla a bath and I noticed his skin started to become dry and his pee with less liquid.I gave him a good bath and repeated it several times and now Godzilla is OK again. And I live in a tropical country where the level of humidity is around 90%!Dont forget that igs dont like to drink water in front of us, so sometimes they drink less water than they should.Baths can help them to hydrate their bodies.Any ig can resist a 2 inches level lukewarm bath!!Give him some time and dont look anxious. If you look nervous while puting him in the water he ll think that there is something TERRIBLY WRONG with the water.

ad my iguanas almost 2 years and have only bathed them 3 times. I just did today and they are stressed and terrified of the water. Is it necessary to bathe them and put them thru this? also if it is, how long should they be in the tub. please let me know. thanks.
