:This has a lot of skin related problems. I would read up on these for your own research, but take him to the vet (it looks bad).

:I know I've read that you can try to rub antifungal cream on it for a few days (if it seems to help, it is probably a fungus). If you rub antibiotic for a few days and it seems to help, it is bacterial. Viral infections are a pain...nothing easy with those. And it could also be a burn I guess if he sat on anything that gets hot (if the metal heats up from the lights or you have hotrocks).
