We have 2 igs....one is 6 years old and is trained ( for the most part) to go everyday at the same time in the bathtub. It's easy and less mess...just disinfect the tub after he/she's done. Lola just resently started going in a temp. cage because we brought Harry into the picture...a Male iguana. Things are not going as normal right now....but it is getting closer to gettin back to what should be normal. If you can figure out when this ig poops then the next time take the ig ( around the same time) to the bathtub and fill it with ( we use about 2 1/2 inches of water for Lola)water midway up the side of her body, so the ig can swim on one end and stand easily on the other. Stay with your ig...and watch....if the hind legs start to float....it's time for a POOP story!!
