Im not mark or aimee, but Curly just recently went down to kidney failure. When his kidney's went it was basically a waiting game. I kept him on the MK Diet with the proper heat and UV and he lasted a year and a half before he finally went. Depends on iguana. I try to keep them comfortable. As long as they are eatting pooping and playing I let them live in comfort. With curly we had no clue on his history of ownership so we didnt even know how old he was. He had no real tail (6 inches total) and was found wandering in snow and still ALIVE! He had a romance with the vaccum cleaner. But from the point he was dianosed with kidney failure to the point that he died it was about a year and a half.

:In a post down below you said "We also have a 5 yr old male who measures 18" SVL, 56" STL. His Kidneys pretty much blew out about a year ago, and he was not supposed to survive more than a few months. Well... He's big, meaner than snot, and healthier than most of the other igs here."
:Want to share his story? I was under the impression that once the kidneys go, the ig dies fairly quickly, so I'm very curious to see how you've managed to keep him alive/healthy for a whole year. What did you have to do for him when it happened, and are his kidney working again now? Would love to see a pic of him too, if you have any.
