Well don't get the spotlight..make sure it is the floodlight. I included a link. I would try to keep it 12" away, but check the temps to make sure it isn't too hot or cold at that distance. I know Active UV recommends a MINIMUM of 6" away, but Zoomed doesn't say. 12" would still be beneficial. Those are powerful lights.
