I got Hercules about five years ago from a friend's boyfriend. Hercules was given to him by someone else who didn't want him. Hercules got into a fight with another of the boyfriend's iguanas and was injured severally. My friend's boyfriend just stuck him in a tank by himself and said he would heal himself. I had to really convince the boyfriend to let me take him off of his hands ( I never owned a reptile but I had to get him some help.) Finally the boyfriend agreed so along as I did not take him to a vet! (He was convinced he was fine and didn't need a vet.) I said I agreed to the terms but that very day I took him to the vet and he ended up needing surgery. The vet gave me Melissa Kaplan's website and some print outs from her site and the rest is history!
