Congratulations Linda...;) Just keep in mind that once it shows up you should give it an hour or two to "burn in" before installing it in an enclosure. I would go as far as plugging it in outside if at all possible. Nothing major but when they are warmed up for the first time there generally is an odor for about an hour.

John's a great guy - really on top of his game. When I first met him I found it interesting that he not only runs a completely supply oriented business (no live animals at all) but he also has a biology degree as well. That's one of the best combinations that you could have in the reptile supply industry.

As far as the humidifiers, I'm currently using 2 of them to handle an entire 12'x14' room. First thing in the morning beforet he room warms up to daytime temps, I can literally have 95-100% humidity in the room if I run the units at maximum output. With the heat and evaporation, day time humidity "drops" to anywhere between 68 and 80% depending on the weather that day. In a 100 year old house it's next to impossible to keep the outside factors from influencing indoor atmosphere....

When I first started running a single unit in Mel's 6x6x3 enclosure I had the same "problem" - too humid. With a little adjustment of output the unit has absolutely no problem handling a single enclosure. In fact, when we took a "backstage" tour of the reptile house of a zoo that we visited last summer to our surprise we saw the same humidifier units being used there.

For the $40 or so that it will cost and the couple bucks for PVC pipe - should you choose to plumb the unit - it's the cheapest method I've found for good solid, safe humidity.... Hey, have I ever steered you wrong? ;)
