The fact that your iguana is gravid is not the issue here Georgia. ALL female igs are capable of becoming gravid. Just because Egor will most likely lay eggs this season doesn't necessarily mean that you have to allow them to hatch. To be perfectly honest, unless you have researched the incubation process there's a good chance that the eggs will NOT hatch anyway. But even that isn't the problem...
The problem I have with your thinking is that you chose to solve your dilemma by simply planning on dumping more iguanas into an already extremely oversaturated market. If you've been doing ANY research into iguana husbandry while you've been gone for the last year you might have realized that this probably would not be a popular solution to your problem. You also most likely would have learned alternative methods to solve the problem.
This isn't necessarily aimed directly at you but I'll take the time to make this point while I have the opportunity. While forums such as the ones here at Kingsnake (as well as any others in existance) can be an excellent way for animal owners to come together and share experiences and knowledge they absolutely should NOT be used as the sole source of information for husbandry practices. They are in no way comprehensive enough to allow for complete educatoin of an individual and, in my opinion, were never intended for that purpose.
In your particular case, Georgia, I would suggest that, if you don't already have a copy, go get James Hatfield's "Green Iguana: The Ultimate Owner's Manual" and just about anything else that you can get your hands on for iguana husbandry including pet shop care sheets - as poor as they may be. Read ALL of it bearing in mind that in that pile of information you WILL have improper/incorrect information. Once you start gathering information and researching for yourself you will have the knowledge and the tools to make informed decisions and inquiries as far as proper iguana husbandry. You may also find the answers as to why, in your mind, you meet with so much resistance.
Unfortunately, like so many other things in life, things are usually not as simple as asking one seemingly simple question and getting a simple answer. For every answer that you get to one question, it may very well create a host of other questions along the way. The key to this is having a solid base of knowledge from which to work and then using that base to form questions when they do arise.
