Hi Juby,
Meggy has been on a leash since she was a juvenile. We started with the standard iguana leash that has the leather harness that goes across their chest with 2 holes for her front legs. We went through all the sizes and now have a cat leash that has a loop that goes around the neck and a loop around the body just behind the front legs--attached together with an identical piece of cord. The actual leash attaches to this. I wouldn't dream of going outside without this as we live in a cold climate and she couldn't survive the winter if she ever got lose. I find when I let her roam on the ground, even in the house, she reverts to a "wild" creature and fights me when I try to pick her up (crocodile rolls). I may have to build her an outside cage for sunning. In other words, I use a leash for security.
