:I just went to pick Phil up and get him ready for his nightly bath, when I was greeted with an unpleasant surprise. My normally docile Phil-baby leapt up from his nap, slapped me several times with his tail, gaped, and tried to bite me!
:I have been noticing lately that his spikes are beginning to turn orange. Is this a sign of maturity or a sign of impending breeding season? The rest of him is relatively green.
:I am surprised that he is this feisty, as he is no more than 14 or 15 months old, but I was examining his tail earlier and those tell-tale hemipenal bulges seem pretty pronounced, if not swollen.
:Please tell me if this sounds like breeding season to you! Now that he is on my lap in front of the computer, he is more or less relaxed, but he was so aggressive earlier. If he isn't in season, then I am worried that he may be sick. Thanks,
:-Lily
