I have had my iguana longer than my kids : )
I cared for my iguana during both my kids pregnancies. I never had any problems. I was a little more cautious than usual, but I am very cautious with everything while pregnant : )
I don't think it would be a prob, unless your ig is free roaming. I clean Spike's cage at night, or when my husband is off work to keep the little ones out of the cage. It is no different than having a dog with kids. I mean would you let your baby/child play in your dogs feces? Didn't think so.
