well first off i did take her to the vet had all that checked and he said she was very well goes to the bath room fine and all i am just really worried that she could get worse if it dont change i have tried the iggy diet food the canned and also tried the fresh salad and all i have tried fruit fresh spiniach dont do the iceberg fresh green beans,squash,cucumbers,apples,grapes,i mix it together all the time i was even told to feed it a mouse too but i have never done that. so after trying all that she still wont eat i have had theese two for a little over a week now and well i have tried everything to get her to eat anything but catfood and she just wont eat she is loosing weight very fast and starting to not look so well i wont feed her the cat food but i am about ready tojust so she will eat my husband is snakeman the one that was in here asking about why my female attacked my male and well the male is doing great almost done with his meds and looks great we have a 9 foot cage for them now 9 foot long 5 foot wide and 6 foot tall we tired to put them back together thinking that maybe she wont eat because he is not in there with her well she tried to attack him agian so we speerated them agian i am at a total loss here i have no idea what to do i am real good with iggys and well it just does not seems this way right now and could use some good advise once agian thanks teardrop..........

:There are two ways to get iguanas eatting what they should be.. Immediate switch and gradual... You need an immediate switch... I have two iguanas that were fed dog food and one is currently going thru kidney failure... It isnt plesant. Make the switch right away. Mixing things like the canned iguana food with greens may assist in this.

:Start tomorrow by just offering the fresh salad... Do that for a few days... The iguana may very well take to the correct diet... Give it like 3 days... If it doesnt take to eatting pick up some of the evil iguana canned food. Mix it 50/50 and see if that helps... As the iguana eats, slowly remove canned foods til diet is all fresh...

:Also get the iguana in for a vet visit as soon as possible and have a blood test and fecal work up...

::the previous owners of the iguans that me and my hubby have adopted said he feed her cat food and that was what she was eating when he got her now i dont know if this is a good thing or not but we have been having a hard time getting her to eat i have been raising iggys and have read all care sheets including mellisa's (very informative i might add) but he swears up and down this is what she eats now if it is not good for her then how do i get her off of it and get her eating the things she needs to be eating any way need any more information please feel free to email me or ask on here thanks alot teardrop..........
