:Both of my Igīs have had with me since February 2000, they were about 3 feet or a little bit more from snout to tail, they ate vegetables, your diet Melissa; and they were very healthy.
:They lived in a very good home. I donīt have them any more but I think it could be change of temperature, What do you think????
Unless they were kept at very subnormal temperatures for days, it is doubtful. Healthy iguanas can survive temperatures in the 60s for a couple of weeks at least, some even lower than that for short periods of time. So, unless they were hypothermic for weeks before your move and you didn't get them warmed up properly after their move, it is unlikely. You said that they were eating and behaving normally for 3 days after you moved, so that doesn't sound like death from prolonged hypothermia or due to the rupture of the gut from expanding gases from digesta rotting in their gut from being too cold.
Sometimes signs of toxicity can be subtle, with a full systemic crash occuring rapidly after the signs first appear. So, we're back at the need to get them necropsied and get the environment inside and outside of their enclosure analyzed to determine what, if any, environmental toxic caused or contributed to their deaths...
