Well, you could be strange, too... ;)
Conflicted behavior isn't unusual in untamed igs going through the taming process, and in normally well-behaved igs acting like terrors during breeding season. On the one hand, they want the petting and close attention, but on the other there's a voice telling igs being tamed that "you're not supposed to like this!" while otherwise tame igs who are super aggressive during breeding season and are banned for their potentially harmful behavior, their little voice seems to tell them "stop it, you fool! look what you're missing out on!"
If you're read about my Freddy at my site, well, he was a great example of that. He was a major cuddle bug outside of breeding season, but in season? Oi! So his behavior would get him temporarily banned, which sent him into a depression, and so we'd start our cycle all over again. ;)
