I know how agressive they can get. I have one that is 5 1/2 now, was super aggressive this year. Has always been really calm, never attempted to bite me EVER, did this year....didn't succeed but really tried.. I was afraid to open the doors to the cage for feeding/cleaning for a while- would just open it enough to fill water or food bowl and quickly shut it, then clean at night after lights out time- but I have always been pretty good at reading Spike, so I just have to keep my eyes open and expect to be lunged at and such...
and mine seems to know my cycle better then I do : P
It is better now, I got the honor of giving a head rub a few days ago : ) so hopefully it'll be back to my calm, relaxed Spike soon.
