You really need a different vet. While the temps are too low, there are other factors that are causing these problems...
From the symptoms you describe (And I am not a vet by any stretch of the means) but i would be apt to say that there is either MBD or Kidney problems or both. With all the other things suggested also get a blood panel work up.

:This more than just being cold (although the temps do need to be raised a bit).
:Did u ever had your iguana'd feces checked by the vet after u brought it home? Did u had it checked for worms or parasites?
:Also, check if the enclosure is humid enough (and big enough, like xta said).
