:One of my ig's has become pretty aggressive lately when it's feeding time. It would jump at the door if it saw me walk in the room with its food. She doesn't wait for me to put the bowl down before she starts to eat. She even latched onto my arm with its claws and started eating once. After that, I decided to fool it by covering the food dish with a towel when I put it in the cage. Well it only took a few days, but now it knows the towel means food. The real bad thing is that the washing machine is at the other end of the room and we can't even take towels into the room w/o my ig going haywire. Who's smarter than who know? I just thought this was pretty funny and taught me lesson on how smart they really are.
This reminds me of the statement made in the movie, Jurrassic Park III, where the paleontologist says that if raptors had not become extinct, that THEY might be the dominant life form on earth! I know my ig's brain must be the size of a walnut, but she's as smart as a dog or cat.
