When I got Lizard back in April, he was suffering from MBD. He's had treatment, and is generally doing really well now. :-) He's got a good appetite, is active (for an iguana, anyway), poos regularly, and is growing pretty well now. When I first got him, his lower jaw was swollen, as you will often see with MBD. It was swollen so it stuck out on the sides. As he got better, that swelling went away, so after awhile, his jaws met up perfectly. But as time went on, I noticed his lower jaw did not meet up perfectly with the upper jaw. Now there is a noticeable, though certainly not drastic, difference in the length of the two jaws. Is this typical in igs recovering from MBD? If so, does the difference usually level out and stay the same, or does it increase? He has no trouble eating, but I guess I'm worried that his upper jaw will continue to grow, while his lower jaw will stay the same size. If that happens, I imagine that eventually he may have some trouble. :-/
Thanks to anyone who replies. :-)
