what is mazuri iguana mash? and where could i find info or a place to buy it if i wanted to?
also, there are other nutrients that can cause muscle twitches. i think magnesium and b vitamins, thimine. these b vitamins may be the cause if you are using frozen foods as part of the diet. the frezzing causes them to lose b vit ptoency in a short amount of time. also, i noticed that you said you feed them at night, you really should feed your igs in the am hours. if you feed them at night, they might nothave enough time to digest the food and utilize the nutrients contained n the food. over time this can lead to nutrient deficiencies that can cause muscle tremors, and other problems. i`m not saying that the tail wagging is definitely caused by vit deficiencies, but it is definitely something to consider. also, bokchoi is not considered to be a food fit to be fed on a daily basis to an iguana. it contains detrimental nutrients. if you want more info on this, you can visit mk`s or jen swoffords sites. napa is also not considerd to be very nutritoius either. both are good for occasional additions to a diet, but should not be a staple item. try feeding collard and turnip greens instead. i use collard, mustard, turnip, and green beans as a staple. i add up to 12 other vegies that rotate on a weekly basis. some vary daily. you can also add veggies like squash, snap peas, and other things like kidney beans, endive, pumpkin, watercress, cilantro, parsley(small amounts), leeks, escarole, carrot tops, carrots, red bell peppers, green peppers, kiwi, oranges, grapes, and lots of others. if you already know this info, sorry to put something out there that is redundant. anyways, i hope some of this helps you out. lots of purple w/red centered hibiscus to you and your litle tail wagging ig!!

: I doubt its a calcium deficency, I feed him various greens (Collards, Mustard, Bok Choy, Napa, etc) as well as things like papaya, mango, bell peppers, bananas, etc.. (not all the fruits at every feeding)
: I usually feed at least 4 different leafy greens (listed above) and two or three fruits, and dust the fruits with Rep-Cal, Herptivite and Mazuri Iguana Mash. I don't dust everyday, there are one or two nights a
: week that I just give them the salad. I've had bloodwork done on one of my Igs, and the calcium levels were good. So I don't think the tail wagging is related to calcium. He doesn't do it all the time, and it just
: seems to be when I first get him out. I know he's eating well. He runs over to the food bowl everyday and has never had a problem eating. His balance is good, and he is active. I'll look more into this, and see if
: I can find anything out.
: Thanks again to everyone who responded!
