I usually hear them called "alligator rolls". It's one of the ways an iguana will try to get away from you. The iguana will literally spin in circles while trying to twist its self free. It's a pretty weird sensation, and the first time my iguana did it I let out an "AUGH!" and dropped the poor thing!
