At and after the 4 foot mark they are just as manageable as a toy-dog...only they have long tails, spikes and claws. If tamed, they are very manageable, resting on ur arm or shoulder. Of course, at that size u better have something big for them to stay in. If they are not tame at more than 4 feet, u're in deep shhh..........! LOL
Like I said, it is worthwhile checking out Melissa Kaplan's website (her name here on the forum is PHMeliss) or James Hatfield excellent book. Hatfield's book is more expensive than Kaplan's, and Kaplan's book is fairly equal to the info on her website.
They are fantastic creatures. I can't wait to get back in the hobby (that's what some call it) of keeping one, it's been a while.
