I lose a bit, but not much. I usualy get 2-3 of the staple greens - collard, mustard, turnip, dandelion, chicory/endive, watercress. I may get something else for variety, like green beans, squash, bok choy, etc, and something colorful for fun - my igs eat squash flowers like candy! I buy greens at a local farmers market, they seem fresher than the ones laying on shelves for days at a grocery store. First thing I do at home is wash them thoroughly, shake off most of the water, and store wrapped in a papertowel in plastic bags. It seems they last longer if I squeeze as much air out of the bag as possible, without crushing the greens. I cut up the greens right before feeding, or hand feed them the whole leaves.
The order in which I feed depends on which greens spoil first. Mustard usualy does not last long, neither does turnip or watercress, so I feed off those in the beginning of the week. Collard greens last over a week or two, so those are fed off last. Hard or root-like things, like yams or winter squash, will last for months if not cut up. If cut up, they will last longest if they are stored dry in the fridge...
