I know... it's very sad that people view iguanas as "throw away pets"... I don't plan to breed them, which is one of the reasons I asked about spaying. I used to have a ton of lizards when I was a little kid, and loved taking care of them. Over the years I got interested in other things, but after I rescued Buddy I realized I'd like to get back into it again. I've been doing a bunch of research on what I'd like to get as my second pet, and right now I'm split between another (rescued) iguana, or a pair of Chinese Water Dragons... I'm also going to be looking for a female veiled chameleon soon, which I will try to breed. ;)
But for now I'd like another iguana for buddy to interact with (I'll have to make sure they get along before I commit to anything, that's why I'd like to adopt locally...) they just seem happier when they have one of their own kind to interact with.

:Thanx for the Slee's compliment!
:I'm not aware of any rescues in that area but I'm sure there is one around there somewhere. However, I wouldn't suggest mating your girl no matter what. Unfortunately igs are a throw away pet. :(
