Finger print sized dark spot on Tempests underside - ??

I had Tempest out for a bath, and while he was busy death-rolling in my hands in the tub (he still hates it at first) I noticed a dark spot, about the size of a baby-finger fingerprint, on his underside. The scales look whole, but smaller than the green scales, and are a brownish-greyish colour. I was wondering what this could be, and should I be worried? I was thinking maybe an old burn or something but I have no idea. I can try to get a pic, but if I can avoid it I'd rather as he is only just coming around to any kind of handling and it would be alot for the poor guy.

Also, on his jaw between two of his jaw platelike scales, is a dark spot, almost like he's got something stuck in there. He's shed this section of scales out twice, and his head completely once, and its still there. Could it just be an old injury, or should I be worried? Again, I can get a photo if I have to, but if I can avoid it I'd rather.

Other than that, Tempest is gaining weight, and showing definate signs of moving around his enclosure. If I put his food on the second shelf from the top, he will go down to eat, but I'm not sure that he would for the shelf one up from the bottom. He's pooping, though still not regularly, and looking much more hydrated and healthy. He's getting more secure, less spooky though still not great, and definately feeling feisty!!
