They were just stupid lizards, silly, not nearly as important as the fishing gear and painting!!!

I know that not everyone values non-human life in the same way that most pet owners do, as you and I do. Like you, that care-less attitude, especially when exhibited by parents whose children will all too likely model their parents' behavior and beliefs as they grow and raise children of their own, makes me want to scream and do some serious tail lashing and head bobbing (and commit not a little irreversible surgery...)
