: They are pink hibiscus. We only got one small bush, cause they weren't the "hardy" type. We're not feeding any of the leaves since it was in a green house and most likely has some chemicals on it.
: But we figured since the flowers bloomed after we got it, they should be okay with some good washing. We're going to mist the plant every day for a month before we use the leaves...does this sound long

: Oh as another side note...I've been talking a bit with my chem teacher about the agent orange stuff in soaps and what not. She pretty much said that if you rinse stuff after using the soaps really well

Lesha, I'd wait longer until you leech out the root system of all chemicals.It's surprising how long chemicals stay in a root system.You want to soak the roots to leech them out,then the leaves and flowers might be ok.Lots of double red hibiscus to tide you over till yours are ready.
