You need to see a vet ASAP... Chances are good it will need to be handfed. It will more than likely need fluids, calcium, as well as just a general vitamin shot. Below you will find a link to the American Association of Reptile and Amphibian Vets. Explain there the situation that the iguana was in previous and that it is a rescue. Chances are that they may cut you a deal.

:My girlfriends boyfriend had a roommate who had an ig. The roommate stole his car so he did not take care of his ig. He gave it a cabbage a couple of times a month. All it had was a heat rock and red clay sand as substrate. When I got it, there was rotten cabbage all over her cage. I got her last night and she is literally skin and bones. She drank water but has not eaten anything. There was a guy here in town who said to give her plain yogurt to get her calcium up. She did lick a little out of an eye dropper but that's it. I've tried turnips, lettuce, and bannana. She just does not move very much. I've had snakes for years but this is my first lizard. I've read about every sight on the net on husbandry and I could take care of her if she was well. It's just getting her well that is the problem. Please give me advice ASAP. Thanks.
