French is my 2nd language too!My French is much better than my English(LOL).Yes, Portuguese is VERY close to Spanish and to French!!

:I could actually understand some of what they were saying!! French is close to that language (portugese, right?) and really close to Spanish. I am *almost* bilingual when I'm in a french mood, and can carry on a normal conversation with a french person. I am Canadian after all :)
