They are no longer exported because of the threat of endangering the species since they reproduce only every other year and usually only have one offspring at a time, live birth. They are the only truly arboreal skink and are very desirable in the pet trade. That is why captive breeding is so important. Since exportation has ceased the price of a PTS has soared from $50 to $600 or more. Sue is doing a terrific job building a healthy colony of PTS's and I'm very excited about her first baby!! Here are pics....less than 24 hours old. Congrats Sue and Dan!!
