80% of your igs diet is supposed to be leafy greens anyhow, so your described situation isn't too bad at all. Collard Greens are the best greens to give them btw, but i'm not going to go any further off topic aside from saying that and also i'll tell you to give your ig variety, variety, variety, but always make collards a staple. That is the only food I feed my ig on a daily basis, everything else is fed in cycles, but the collards have a perfect cal/pho ratio.
My iguana loves grapes, so I give him a few cut up on top of his food daily, and when he's done with everything else, I give him a few more, which gives him the encouragement he needs when he doesn't feel like eating too much. Like I said, just try to give variety, find what your ig likes that is healthy and try to mix it in with stuff he likes a little, and really don't bother feeding him/her stuff he doesn't like, because in my experience, he/she will avoid eating anything just to spite you for feeding him/her crap. You just need to find what they like, is good for them, and them find a combination that you can vary weekly, or however it is that you vary their meals.
John-Paul:Bud has shed for the first time, I think it went well but my husband and I have since noticed that when Bud lies down, he/she has little lumps and bumps on either side of the tummy - is this normal? Also I would love some advice on how to stop Bud being such a picky eater. I have tried everything (peppers, carrot, green beans and various fruits)but Bud still manages to eat just the leafy greens I put at the bottom of the food dish! I don't want this to be a life long habit but when I don't put the leafy greens in the dish Bud doesn't eat at all. Thanks.
