Well, they are usually at least an inch long in my experience, but i've only had experience with one male iguana at maturity so far. You may want to look into those things you are describing though to make certain they are not some type of worm. Also, don't feel bad, my iguana won't do it with the love sock I made for him, he would rather do it on the back of the couch as he always has.
John-Paul:Could seminal plugs look like thin white lines? I've seen about 5 of these lines on his frog that he lies on...but the lines are only about the size of this letter "l"; seminal plugs would be larger right?
::since the title is "GUESS the iguana sex" i will give my *OPINION*. looks male to me. femoral pores are already sticking out a bit, and they will become more obvious each year. look for dried up seminal plugs lying around the cage or getting a present in your hand.... then i'm pretty sure there's no guess work left. ;)
