That is truely a shame that people do not know of the PIJAC. The pet store that I deal with on a regular basis recently learned of the group. I had obtained a few of their Practice Safe Rex posters. they have since contacted the group about additional reptile and small animal related information. Animal wise, they deal with rescues pretty exclusivly. Right now they have room for maybe one more iguana. But i digress, from what i have seen in pet trade magazines this group seems reasonably reptile friendly if not a bit outdated, and willing to help increase proper knowledge and captive care info.

:PIJAC is the group that developed the "training program" supposedly used by PetCompany to train their "reptile experts". When I was sent a copy of this program a year or two ago I was also informed that it was close to 10 years out of date. If you look around usually the iguana enclosures you may find the PIJAC logo slapped somewhere. If you ever want to have a bit of fun, go in and ask the "reptile specialist" if they're at all familiar with PIJAC. So far, no one that I've asked has answered yes, even when the PIJAC certification logo is looming behind their head....
