Sometimes it takes a long time to get weight back on a malnourished iguana. Pictured here is OliveOil. She was the thinnest ig that I'd ever seen alive. Her tail was completely without meat..just skin stretched over bones. She had a couple of other health issues of course, but nothing life threatening. It took 7-8 long months to get weight on Olive. I've had her now for 13 months, she's fat and sassy and I believe gravid at the moment. She's also a witchy lizard....still whips and threatens to bite. Olive is the first, and so far, only iguana to send me in for sutures.
I'm very impressed with the committment that you've made to this wonderful lizard. Cudos to you and to Tempest! That's one fortunate lizard. :)
