? about Beanie's tail

Hi everyone,

Hopefully this isn't a stupid question :)

Beanie was very thin and frail when I first adopted her 4 weeks
ago. She is eating alot now and doing well. My question is
that the base of her tail where it attaches to the body has
gotten very thick and heavy looking. I know that this is were
they store weight. She has gained some weight to her body and
is now very well hydrated. Is it normal for the tail to get
fat so quickly? She was 1 lb when I adopted her and I bet she
is closer to 2 lbs now. Just wanted to make sure there is
nothing else going on with her.
